We understand that seeing a strange leak underneath you car can be concerning. The cause can sometimes be serious, and sometimes be more minor in scale. The only way to really know is by having a mechanic inspect your vehicle and find the source of the issue. 

Before you bring your vehicle into the shop, take a look at the leak and make a mental note of the color and consistency of the liquid you see. This will help our mechanics better understand where the problem could be coming from.

Here are some common leak colors and what they can indicate: 

Clear - If you see clear liquid, you're in the clear. this is just condensation from your A/C system. 

Orange - Antifreeze or regular condensation that is rusty from the radiator

Pink - Power steering fluid or transmission fluid

Dark Brown - Old motor oil or brake fluid

Blue - Windshield wiper fluid

Red - Transmission or power steering fluid

Yellow - Radiator coolant leak

Green - Antifreeze leak

Light Brown - Motor oil or gear lubricant
