I cannot recommend this place enough. I had stumbled upon Honest Wrench when I was looking for a smaller, local repair shop near Ankeny after having bad experiences at other big-name repair shops and I can't even begin to explain how great of an experience I've had with Honest Wrench! First off, I've never felt intimidated or treated any differently despite me being a woman and not having great knowledge of my cars, which is huge because I've had issues with that in the past. Not only that, but they explain in great detail everything that is going on with your vehicle and provide lots of pictures, which I was able to even access on my phone! Excellent communication. They will go above and beyond and take great care of you and they have a wonderful staff!

I never write any reviews, but I sure do like to read them. I was blown away with Honest Wrenches just from the first phone call, that I had to leave my own review. I got a flyer in the mail with an amazing deal. An oil change/tire rotation & break inspection coupon for a whopping $24.99 + an additional $5.00 per tire. Knowing that I was due for an oil change I decided to give Honest Wrenches a call. The customer service I received over the phone was impeccable, the person I spoke with asked me how my day was, when it was most convenient for me to bring my vehicle in and offered me a free ride back home if I needed it, which I did. So I went ahead and made an appointment. I brought my car in and was immediately greeted with a smile and was handed some paperwork to fill out some questions about my car. After completing my paperwork Josh explained to me everything that they would be looking at and showed me what to expect once my car was completed. They send you photos and descriptions of EVERYTHING! They are very thorough with their inspection, and SO polite. The other Josh gave me a ride back to my house and told me that if I needed a ride anywhere else to give him a call while my car was being worked on. Once my car was ready they gave me a call and sent my husband and I a text messages with photos of everything they found and pictures, we were both super impressed and have never experienced something like this. I went to pick up my car and realized I forgot my coupon at home, they told me it was okay and they would honor the coupon price as long as I could bring it back that week and drop it off in their mailbox. They even gave my neighbor who dropped me off a $5.00 dollar off coupon and each of us 2 koozies just because my neighbor dropped me off. After paying I got in my car and a complementary water bottle with a card was waiting for me in the cup holder, It honestly is just the little things! I also noticed that my car runs a lot better now. Their name is very fitting, they really are Honest! I will be recommending all of my friends and family to them. They have earned a new customer for life! Thank you to everyone that did an amazing job on my car and provided me with incredible service! You guys rock. Keep up the good work!!

Great group of guys to work with. Always give a detailed explanation of what needs done and not pushy about things that can wait. Love the fact I can get a loaner when needed. Thanks for taking care of my vehicle.

I came here to get 2 new front tires and have them put onto my car. Josh Gillam (sp?) is who helped me out and he was very nice, helpful, thorough and to the point. He didn’t try to push anything onto me nor force me into buying something I didn’t need. Although he was very honest and again to the point. This place is very reasonably priced. They don’t try and rip you off nor up sell. From past experience and being a woman I’ve had shops trying to lie and say that I have to have something replaced when I didn’t or replace something without telling me or tack on charges trying to rip me off or treat me as if I were ignorant. Not this place! I let them know right up front that my son was a license mechanic but unfortunately lived out of town so couldn’t work on my car but could tell me what was wrong with it and etc. Plus I already knew a lot about cars to begin with since my dad and ExHusband were mechanics too. So there’s no getting away with ripping me off to begin with. This place is far from a place that’ll try n rip you off or try and do anything suspicious. Take it from me... I highly recommend this place!!! All the guys there are Great!! Especially Josh Gillam!!

Honest Wrenches is truly a wonderful auto garage. I don't have to worry about being overcharged for repairs or services that I receive. The whole team is absolutely amazing with great customer service.
