As you know, in our last blog we discussed the key differences of conventional oil and full synthetic oil as well as what our clients most often choose when getting an oil change. This knowledge is important to have to make a well-informed decision that fits you and your vehicle’s needs best, but what about the impact on your wallet?
We found that the cost per mileage for conventional and full synthetic oil changes at our shop is essentially the same. For example, a conventional oil change costing $40 every 3 months or 3,000 miles would have a cost per mileage of $0.013. Alternatively, a full synthetic oil change costing $60 every 5 months or 5,000 miles would have a cost per mileage of $0.012. So, switching to full synthetic oil not only provides better quality oil and extended mileage intervals but also fewer visits to the shop, saving you time and money in the long run.
Additionally, switching to full synthetic oil allows you to maintain your tire rotations on a more regular basis since you can pair your oil changes with your tire rotations and have them both done at the same time. This helps to ensure the longevity of your vehicle’s tires and keeps you driving safely on the road.
So the next time you bring your vehicle in for service, consider switching to full synthetic oil. Our team members will be happy to discuss the decision with you, and of course, help you make the switch and enjoy the benefits of better quality oil, extended intervals, and fewer visits to the shop. Be sure to tune into next month’s blog to learn more about scheduling your service, saving money, and keeping your car better maintained!
