Service Engine and Traction Control indicators both came on in our 2012 Toyota Highlander. But when the error codes were read this actually turned out to be a failure in the evaporative control canister. This was a pricey repair, but I gave trusted Travis with major repairs before, and have never been disappointed. We bought this vehicle to tow our boat. Knowing that Honest Wrenches provides our routine maintenance gives us the confidence to tow to MN and AK with grandkids on board.

If I could I'd give them 10 stars. I've never been so impressed with a mechanic before. Their service was fast, thorough, friendly, helpful, empowering & gracious. They did what I needed and did it in a way I felt completely comfortable.

I appreciate the thorough evaluation and inspection of the vehicle. They explain the repairs they feel are necessary for safe operation and give accurate estimates for any work they may perform. I have never felt any sales pressure from the staff and any work I authorize is always completed on time as promised.

Yesterday in the middle of the snow storm my check engine light decided to come on. Not knowing if it was safe to continue to drive my car I headed over to the nearest shop. Which turned out to be Honest Wrenches in West Des Moines. I have never been there before. As soon as I walked in Josh welcomed me. I explained to him what my concerns were and he was more than happy to help me out. Even though they were booked he still took my car in. He did not turn me away because I did not have an appointment. He took his time to explain what steps needed to be done to figure out what was wrong with my car. He listened to what my concerns were, he was very professional and very friendly. I was so worried about my car that I lost track of time. While waiting for my ride I realized that it was past their business hours. Josh and the owner did not mind waiting with me while I waited for my ride. They never rushed me out of the door. Honest Wrenches truly cares about their customers and are truly committed to help in any way they can. I am definitely recommending them to EVERYONE A++ on their customer service. I had a coupon and decided to try Honest Wrenches. Their name says it all! They could have sold me a couple of different items but said I didn’t need them yet. I saved money and will be a customer from now on.

I am very pleased with the service and follow up Honest Wrench gives us on our vehicle services. They came and picked up my vehicle and kept us informed on what was needed. The problem was fixed and it didn’t take as long as I thought it would. The people are very pleasant and I will take my vehicle back to them for future service.
